About KMST
KMST is an exclusive Krav Maga school training in South Tampa. Our school caters to adults and teens and is one of few authorized training locations in the U.S. representing the original Israeli Krav Maga Association — Gidon Fight System.
This is not franchise Krav Maga. Here you learn direct from the curriculum of 10th dan Israeli Grandmaster Haim Gidon, top student of Krav Maga inventor, Imi Lichtenfeld. Under his leadership since the mid-1990s, our fighting system has continued to evolve to ensure students can face the latest threats.
Belt-earners and casual learners are welcome. Simply put, we teach people how to defend themselves against both unskilled and skilled attackers.

What We Train
Practical striking techniques drawn from Israeli military and law enforcement training. Learn how to neutralize attackers fast, using natural body mechanics and the most direct path to safety.
Real-world ground defense tailored to dangerous scenarios. Learn to get up quickly, control attackers, and escape dangerous positions against single or multiple opponents.
Advanced training in defense against edged weapons, firearms, and blunt objects. Techniques are field-tested and continuously refined to address modern threats.

Lineage
The Israeli Krav Maga Association was founded on October 22nd, 1978 by Krav Maga founder, Imi Lichtenfeld — the first such association recognized by the Israeli Government. Imi appointed his top student, Haim Gidon, as his successor.
Working from Imi’s techniques and principles, 10th dan Grandmaster Haim Gidon has spent decades developing Krav Maga into its most modern evolution. This is living, evolving self-defense — not frozen tradition.
KMST is one of few U.S. schools directly authorized by the IKMA. Our instructor holds certifications tested by Grandmaster Gidon himself, ensuring the highest fidelity to the original system.
Our system continuously integrates new training with Grandmaster Gidon’s top instructors, including 5th dan Yigal Arbiv, 5th dan Noam Gidon, and 4th dan Steve Moshe — ensuring what you learn works against modern threats.
Lead Instructor
KMST owner and lead instructor Jason Bleistein spent his first several years of training under the direct tutelage of world-renowned instructor and IKMA U.S. Chief, David Kahn, in NJ.
He has also trained extensively with Grandmaster Gidon, both in the U.S. and Israel, as well as Grandmaster Gidon’s top Israeli instructors. Jason received his teaching certification and advanced-level belts directly from Grandmaster Gidon. Always a student, Jason continues to train with the world’s top Kravists.
